About the Webinar
Presented by Todd Standal, Lean Specialist at Complete Lean Solutions.
This session is a brief introduction to lean thinking via the lean values and behaviours. Through the use of case studies, guest speaker, Todd Standal, will provide participants with an overview of Practical Problem Solving (PPS), the lean tool that lives in the heart of all learning organisations.
Using a case study for ductwork re-makes at a large HVAC company, Todd will highlight how following the PPS methodology helped them solve the problem at its root cause/s, resulting in a few simple internal processing changes that cost almost nothing to implement, and which will contribute significantly to increased profitability associated with eliminating re-making and transporting ductwork.
Attendees will learn about:
- The five lean thinking Values and five lean thinking Behaviours that constitute the ‘true north’ for all lean organisations.
- The 9-step PPS methodology, and why it’s so important in helping us in avoiding our basic, hard-wired human instinct; jumping to conclusions.
- A quick and potent (but entirely repeatable) example of application of the PPS methodology to wring out cost whilst also improving safety, on-time delivery and environmental performance, and maintaining critical customer schedules.
- Answers to their queries regarding not just the case study, but also general questions regarding PPS as well as any lean-related or PPS-related questions specific to their particular situations.
