The conference provided networking and education on lean and continuous improvement to more than 150 professionals over four days.
The AME Executive Board wishes to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to change the venue for our 2018 Leading Through Excellence and Innovation Conference. In place of the William Angliss Conference Centre the event will now take place at the Melbourne Zoo, a venue which is conveniently located a short drive away from the Melbourne Airport and is close to the City centre.

On Thursday August 10 2017, 21 AME Members and Colleagues attended an exclusive Workplace Insights Tour at Asahi Beverages. Attendees toured the Laverton plant including manufacturing, packaging and warehouse to see best practices.
On August 24 2017, 22 AME Members and Colleagues attended an exclusive Workplace Insights Tour at PACCAR Australia in Bayswater North, Victoria. The visit to the Kenworth plant focused on Safety, Quality, and Employee Engagement systems.
Feedback from the Adelaide and Perth Value Stream Mapping Workshops has been overwhelmingly positive. Experience facilitator Gary Kerr was a huge stand out.

Her programs draw upon research from the field of positive psychology and provide practical techniques to immediately implement at work, to become more optimistic, resilient and form positive connections with colleagues. These skills build happier, healthier and higher performing individuals which leads to increased work engagement and performance improvements.
