Solving Wicked Problems with Action Learning
The Action Learning Institute presented a seminar to an AME group on Action Learning at the Manufacturing Technologies Centre on Tuesday 24th of October.
The session was well attended with general manufacturing, food manufacturing, aged care and education industries represented. Dan Moriarty and Bob Cother presented some recent case studies from Robern Menz, Spring Gully Pickles and Rossi boots. The Action Learning Institute process was discussed in detail which helped attendees to understand the power of action learning and the ALI process in particular.
This was followed by a brief workshop where the attendees split into two groups and discussed potential “Wicked Problems” in their respective organisations and developed problem statements through questioning from “fresh eyes” on the problem.
