AME volunteers have been hard at work planning AME Leading Through Excellence and Innovation 2019 scheduled for the 6-9 May 2019 in Melbourne. This event promises to help attendees deepen their understanding of lean and continuous improvement and give them the opportunity to connect with peers and share, learn and grow.
With this in mind, we have compiled five reasons you should attend AME Leading Through Excellence and Innovation 2019:
1. Networking opportunities. Not only will there will be fun networking activities such as the Welcome Dinner, Networking Drinks, Simulations and Roundtable Discussions but there's also the opportunity to meet other passionate lean and continuous improvement professionals. You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions, share best practices and find answers that solve problems that affect your business. This year's welcome dinner will include a thought provoking panel discussion with international keynote speaker Billy Taylor, on the People Side of Lean - Moving Beyond the Tools.
2. International keynote speakers. Gain insights and inspiration from two diverse international keynote speakers that will help change your perspective and shift your thinking. This year Paul Akers kicks off our conference with insights on making Lean simple and fun through small improvements everyday. Paul has developed a worldwide following through his inspirational videos and books about Lean Thinking. Goodyear's director of manufacturing Billy Taylor closes out day one of the conference with his inspirational keynote on the People Side of Lean. Billy Taylor was a hit at the 2017 conference and has been invited back by popular demand.
3. Practitioner-led sessions. Learn from hand-picked practitioners who are guiding their organisations toward excellence every day. This year, sessions cover a wide-range of topics including lean leadership, daily improvements, lean digital transformations, advanced manufacturing and workplace culture. Idea Exchange sessions and Mini-Workshops are formatted to be both informative and interactive. This year, TWI will be conducting hands-on, interactive Kata in the Classroom sessions (based on Mike Rother’s session at the USA conference).
4. Best practice tours. Witness excellence in person at plant tours from organisations covering a wide variety of industries. Organisations opening their doors for tours include Australian Red Cross Blood Service and Bosch Australia Manufacturing Solutions. Registration for tours is now open.
5. Workshops. Check out the post-conference workshops on offer. Workshops are interactive and hosted by highly experienced facilitators in order to assist individuals and organisations to progress their continuous improvement journey. This year keynote speaker Billy Taylor will visit Note Printing Australia to facilitate a workshop and gemba walk on Daily Management Processes. TWI will facilitate their popular Toyota Kata Simulation. Seats are limited so book early.
Register for one day or come to all four. We offer affordable and flexible options.
