DESCRIPTION
This half day workshop is the first step in understanding the principles of Lean Thinking. Learn how to implement Lean principles into your organisation. Lean 101 is an interactive workshop using Lego activities to provide practical experience in the power of Lean thinking.
The session is designed for those wanting to learn about the origins and foundations of Lean principles and experience the impact and potential that Lean principles may have in their business.
One of the best ways to teach your team about Lean is to give them hands on training using Lego sets. This gives them the opportunity to try out concepts without the risk of making errors in actual work areas. This simulation reinforces key Lean concepts through action. The teams work on 5S, Standard Work, Process Mapping and Visual Management. Through simulated experience, it solidifies complex ideas and participants see how Lean tools work together. It helps participants understand some of the challenges of implementing “simple” solutions and allows them to gain additional practice in implementing Lean tools in a controlled environment. It is also tons of fun!
