Cimpress Tour
TOUR HOST
Cimpress ( formerly Vistaprint ) was the first printing company in the world, the first company in Australia and the youngest company ever to win the global Shingo prize for manufacturing excellence.
Vistaprint is an internet facing print company producing business cards, mugs, t-shirts etc. Vistaprint has grown at over 40% per annum and has become a billion dollar enterprise in 10 years.
The enterprise benefited by the acquisition of senior staff who were trained in lean systems in automotive enterprises. The plant installed and improved the very successful Autoliv production system.
“Right from launch, our plant in Australia established a clear vision – to become the best mass customization manufacturer in Australia. The keys to our success have been establishing a clear and long term vision, assembling an amazingly talented and dedicated team here in Melbourne, setting the bar high from day one; and providing continual encouragement and support to the team in order to bring our vision to life.” Robert Bruce, Past Managing Director & Vice President, Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
WHAT YOU WILL SEE & LEARN
This site tour will include a presentation from the Cimpress team on their journey to excellence and the work done to establish a people-centric culture that supports and sustains this journey followed by a site tour of the award winning Derrimut site.
People-Centric Leadership Workshop
HIGHLIGHTS
Discover the vision, and the work and challenges that have been dealt with, as Cogent Power has moved its leadership culture to a progressive people led culture. Hear how it has used this, in conjunction with lean principles, to create excellent business results.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Cogent Power has historically placed a high importance on its people and work teams. As challenges face an organization, the traditional management mindset can create critical decision points that can put into conflict people versus profits. In the past five years, Cogent has been working very purposefully to advance and develop a very people-focused leadership culture, where a true trusting partnership lies within all members of the company.
Based on Cogent's success, Ron Harper will facilitate an interactive workshop session that will focus on the transformation mindset of leaders within the organisation - so that people and teams experience a people-centric leadership team.
